Does Intuition Equal Psychic Ability?

Have you ever wondered if having intuition is the same as being psychic?  Are they two different things or are they two sides of the same coin?  I think it’s a subject worth exploring further.

We’ve all heard of intuition, especially “women’s intuition”.  But in reality women don’t have a corner on the market because everyone has intuition.  It’s just that women are generally more open to the idea than men – and that’s the secret to the whole thing! 

Modern society is so skeptical about such things that we are essentially preconditioned to just fluff it off as nonsense.  Intuition is very closely connected to feelings.  And once again, women operate more on the feeling level than men do.  And as a result, they have more intuitive experiences than men.  Pay attention guys!

Intuition is a sense, a gut-level hunch about something that can’t be proven by empirical evidence.  This is why it is so often ignored, or considered unworthy of serious consideration.  This is unfortunate because Intuition is the foundation of all psychic abilities!  Every psychic begins their psychic development by learning to pay attention to their intuition.

If I may paraphrase a short definition here, Psychic Abilities are Intuition with a College Degree!  They are not two different things.  Nor are they opposite sides of the same coin.  They are the same coin!  It’s just that one is developed and the other is not. 

It’s strange.  We are all born with a sense of intuition; yet we give it so little credence.  This faculty is there to help us protect ourselves from harm.  It is connected directly with the sub-conscious mind, and may even be a faculty of it.  Many people don’t realize it, but the sub-conscious mind never sleeps and never takes a break.  It is constantly working on our behalf to provide us with information that is in our own best interest.  It’s our built-in advisor.

For example, have you ever gone to bed at night with a problem that you’ve been trying to solve, and then awakened the next morning with the answer?  That’s your sub-conscious mind at work!  But it doesn’t just solve problems, it continually analyzes every facet of our lives and feeds us its’ findings.  

These findings are commonly sent to us via feelings, hunches, senses, and even through dreams.  However, not all dreams fall under this category.  Many times they are just dreams – our minds’ way of sorting out junk!

Unfortunately, our conscious mind, or so-called “rational” mind then goes to work trying to judge the information for validity, and in the process, often convinces us that it’s all nonsense!  So what are we to do?

The real culprit which hinders the development of psychic abilities is our own conscious mind.  So the trick is to learn to repress it during those times when we “sense” something.  No accomplished psychic was born with fully developed psychic abilities.  They had to develop them by learning to put the judgmental part of their mind in the back seat, while giving full attention to what their intuition was trying to tell them.

We all start out with intuition; it’s a natural part of our psychological/spiritual makeup.  Psychics are simply people who have learned to quiet their conscious minds and listen.  Thus, their intuition has developed into full-blown psychic ability.  This is no small accomplishment; it requires a lot of practice.  We are all psychic, but where some people have College Degrees, most of us are still in pre-school!
