A lot of people ask what the difference is between an Astrology Reading and a Psychic Reading; and which one is the best. The fact is, Astrology Readings and Horoscopes are not really in competition with Psychic Readings at all. They operate on a totally different premise and each has its’ own benefits for the person getting the reading. It’s all in what you’re looking for.
Astrology is a very ancient practice that operates on the premise that the position of the celestial bodies at the exact time and place of our birth, effects our lives from that point on. It tells us what is likely to happen, but does not predict that something definitely will happen. It’s kind of an “odds are” type of thing where something might happen… but not necessarily. It’s not “destiny”. We always have free will and are able to affect our own futures by the choices we make.
It’s sort of like thinking about asking your boss for a raise. You might get it, and you might not. But a good horoscope or Astrology Reading, provided by a professional Astrologer, can tell you whether or not now is a good time to ask for that raise. In a way it helps you to stack the cards in your favor by revealing the optimum time to do something (or not).
Horoscopes can also reveal a lot about an individuals’ personality, and uncover useful information about someones’ true motives. Each sign of the Zodiac carries with it certain personality traits. Some signs are more compatible with each other than with other signs. But people who share the same astrological sign are not necessarily compatible. In fact, being so much alike can sometimes make for a very rocky relationship. Astrology doesn’t pinpoint the exact “right” person for you, but can help determine what type of person is best for you.
Psychic readings on the other hand, operate on the premise that we are all made up of, and influenced by energy. Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, a person can and does continue to exist beyond separation from the physical body, i.e. death. An individual with psychic abilities can in various ways, sense or “tap into” the energy of another person and the other energies influencing them. This is the essence of a psychic reading.
Persons with “precognition” for example, can sense that something is going to happen in the future. They may not necessarily be able to tell exactly when it will happen, but they know that it will. Since energy is not affected by time, those with this ability can literally access information from what we call the future or the past. Time is irrelevant on the energy level; there is no “time” as we know it.
Since our energy-selves continue to exist after physical death, it is possible for some psychics to communicate with a person who has passed on. Psychics with this ability are called “Mediums or Channelers” because they can act as a conduit between a physically living person and someone who has passed on. It’s all about the energy. It’s there, it’s real, and some people can access it. We call those people “psychics”.
So as you can see, Astrology Readings and Psychic Readings are fundamentally different. They can each be extremely beneficial to someone looking for answers, but they go about it in a totally different way. It really depends upon what type of information you’re looking for.
